King Charles, Prince Harry PR war becomes ‘he said, she said’ situation
King Charles and Prince Harry have reached a tricky spot in their reconciliation efforts
Prince Harry and King Charles’s relationship is has reached a tough mark.
His Majesty, who recently released a letter notifying agencies and parliament that his younger son, Prince Harry, is still a private citizen upon his return to the UK, has heard Prince Harry.
Expert Jennifer Newton said: "To go into so much detail… Saying 'At 19 minutes past two this happened', not 20 past, 19 minutes past, you know? 11 minutes past, not 10 past. To an outsider looking in, they might think, 'Oh that is pretty petty and pathetic'.
"But with this briefing war going on, what is that going to mean for the relationships between Harry and the King? Is that relationship just disintegrating before our very eyes?"
Royal editor Russell Myers added: "Well, I think so, because you're looking at a situation where they are briefing against each other. We had a story this week that Harry and the King had not spoken since they arrived back in the UK, then it turns out that the Sussex's team are briefing that they had.
"I mean, this is very much getting a bit of ‘he said, she said’. It's a bit tit for tat isn't it? It is absolutely insane at the moment that we are seeing this briefing war taking place before our very eyes."
