Did Kanye West’s wife Bianca Censori inspire Saint Laurent’s FW24 collection?

Bianca Censori, wife of Kanye West, has a distinct, provocative fashion style that often leaves some in dread but inspires others.

Anthony Vaccarello apparently falls into the latter. He is the creative director behind Saint Laurent.

While looking back at his Fall/Winter 2024 collection inspiration, he openly said it was Ye's wife.

Appearing on the podcast Fashion Neurosis with Bella Freud, he said, "I was inspired by the girlfriend of Kanye West."

According to Vaccarello, he found the idea of fusing Censori's bold style and the class of Saint Laurent fascinating.

"And I thought it was nice to have her and Saint Laurent and try to, which is very modern, mix her looks and Yves Saint Laurent looks."

Bringing two distinct but separate ideas, in Vaccarello's words, "like a collage in my head".

"It was like the meeting of those two totally opposite universes in one silhouette," the fashion designer continued.

"So I want to redo the classic Saint Laurent draping clothes with her style. That's how it came," he shared.

Censori, meanwhile, has a history of opting for unconventional dressing, which often sparked outrage.

Along with West, the Yeezy architect, since her marriage, continues to court controversy with her increasingly revealing outfits, sometimes with almost nothing to cover her modesty.
