Paramount+ secures rights to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle film
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s film is purchased by a streaming platform
Paramount+ has secured the rights to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle documentary Cookie Queens, said a report days after the couple returned to the UK.
The film was executive-produced by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
GB News wrote that the sale of Cookie Queens to one of Netflix's direct rivals raises questions about the deal that had previously been announced.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle signed a $100million deal with Netflix after they had moved to the US in 2020.
Under the deal, the couple released a bombshell documentary and the duchess's lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan.
However, the couple ripped up their contract earlier this year to take full control of Meghan's brand, As Ever - though they announced a fresh "multi-year, first-look deal" granting Netflix priority access to projects developed through their Archewell production company.
