Brad Pitt recently got candid and confessed that he goes to his old friend George Clooney when something bad occurs in his life.

For those unaware, Clooney was honored with the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the opening ceremony of the 83rd Venice Film Festival on September 2, 2026.

Pitt, who could not make it to the event to celebrate his pal’s huge career moment, sent a message for Laura Dern to read as she presented the honor to the ER alum, in which he opened up about their bond.

In a statement, the F1 star said, “The only guy you’d want in a crisis. A father, a husband, a global citizen, a defender of justice, and...a really bad dancer."

“He can do, perform, accomplish, compete at most anything and does it better than any of us, but please, keep him off the dance floor. He doesn’t know.”

“And now, this pigeon-toed kid from Kentucky, elder statesman, who when you can’t get Brad Pitt you know Clooney will show up because he never met an award he wouldn’t run to, is getting a lifetime achievement award? So why? Why do we love George Clooney?” Pitt stated.

The 62-year-old American actor and film producer went on to explain, “He’s a rogue, a prankster, an altruist, an actor, an athlete.”

It is pertinent to mention that Brad Pitt and George Clooney’s first joint project was the 2001 heist comedy film Ocean’s 11, which starred them as Rusty Ryan and Danny Ocean.
