Prince Harry isn't in Epstein files. Here’s why people think he is
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's plan to return to the United Kingdom sparks reactions
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made headlines on Thursday when the couple’s plan to return to the UK was revealed by the media.
Harry’s name became one of the top Google trends shortly after the news surfaced.
A large number of people wondered online about the royal’s connection to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, as they often do about celebrities and royal figures.
However, Harry is not named in the Jeffrey Epstein files. Public confusion often links him to the scandal because his uncle, Prince Andrew, is heavily featured in the US Department of Justice documents.
Prince Harry, the younger son of King Charles III, publicly criticized his uncle in his 2023 memoir Spare, calling the situation a "shameful scandal".
The Duke of Sussex highlighted that despite being accused of sexual assault, his uncle still retained taxpayer-funded security.
Meanwhile, a source close to Prince Harry and his wife Meghan revealed that the couple is planning to move back to Britain this month, six years after they quit royal duties and relocated to the US, from where they repeatedly criticized the royal family and lambasted the British press.
