Cardi B hits back at critics demanding more from her music

Cardi B does not care what critics say about her work!

In a recent X Spaces conversation, the WAP rapper addressed listeners' complaints, questioning why some of her songs get music videos and more promotion than others.

The rapper clarified that their complaints won't make her work harder instead she will do the opposite.

Cardi said, “When y’all complain, it doesn’t make me want to sit down. No, it makes me want to say, ‘I ain’t doing s***.’

“How about that? That’s the type of person I am.”

Referring to her past releases, she explained that her every music project does not require the same treatment, like visuals, music videos and aesthetics.

“Not everything is going to have the same aesthetic as the other ones,” Cardi clarified.

“I know I have not been in the studio. I have not been doing all that s*** right now.”

The mother of four further noted that “complaining and talking s***,” does not affect her instead, her instincts say to her to “stay in bed” and spend time with her children.

It is pertinnt to mention that the rapper shares three kids, Kulture, Blossom and Wave, with estranged husband Offset and welcomed her fourth kid, first with NFL player Stefon Diggs, back in November.

Cardi dropped her sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, in September 2025, seven years after her last album, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard during its first week of release.
