Reese Witherspoon's father's recovery takes major turn after hospital scare

Reese Witherspoon’s father, Dr. John Witherspoon, got a positive update on his health scare after being rushed to the hospital.

The actress's father, after a two-night stay at the medical center, finally returned home on Sunday, Page Six reported.

Following his release from the hospital, management at his Nashville apartment has asked residents not to make noise.

On Friday, Dr. John was found face down by a fellow condo resident on a concrete area near the building’s pool. The person immediately informed the doorman on duty.

A source told the outlet, “The doorman and building manager rolled him over, and they said, ‘Dr. Witherspoon, are you OK?'

"He blinked his eyes, and that’s when he was rushed to the hospital.”

Reese also took to her social media to update about her father after multiple outlets reported his health scare.

She confirmed on Friday evening, “Earlier today, several outlets reported that my dad was taken to the hospital after a fall. I want to let everyone know that he is fine now. He is being taken care of by wonderful doctors and nurses.

"Thank you to everyone who reached out. It means the world to our family."

It is pertinent to mention that Dr. John, who is 84, shares Reese and two sons with his wife, Mary Elizabeth.
