Olivia Wilde finds the true meaning of love: Here’s how
Olivia Wilde explains how her upcoming movie shattered the cynicism in her about relationships
Olivia Wilde's last break was with Harry Styles in 2022, and now she has been romantically linked with art dealer Caspar Joling, but between them comes her latest film, The Invite.
The comedy drama, where the actress also served as director, changed her view about love.
At first, the star admitted she was a cynic regarding relationships, but after the movie, she said, “It has melted the cynic out of me."
Further, delving into her thoughts at Switzerland's Locarno Film Festival, Wilde recalled conversations with a score of people married for up to 60 years.
“I have spoken to people who have been through so much with their partners, and people have been in marriages for 40, 50, 60 years."
Her conversations with them, the actress revealed, led her to rethink the meaning of a long-term relationship.
"They told me it was a very honest depiction of their own experience of really having several relationships with the same person," the director said.
The Invite originally had a limited release on June 26, which was followed by a wide theatrical release on July 10.
Now, it is set to drop on HBO Max on Aug 11.
