Charlize Theron steals the spotlight in wild plastic skirt at The Odyssey promotion
Charlize Theron shows she is capable of turning heads both on- and off-screen
As The Odyssey is making a killing at the global box office, Charlize Theron, who starred as nymph Calypso, drew attention through her plastic skirt.
She stepped into the wild outfit during the Greek epic's promotions in South Korea, her pinstripe button-down shirt and a see-through wrap skirt cranked up the heat on the red carpet.
While Theron turns the heat on and off screen, her latest film, The Odyssey, meanwhile, is having a dream run at the worldwide box office.
The flick, rooted in Homer's timeless epic, got panned by Emily Wilson, the author whose translation of The Odyssey inspired Christopher Nolan to direct the film.

But so far, the British filmmaker has not directly addressed Wilson's criticism; however, he did take a potshot at critics whom he described as amateur film critics.
"The criticism that’s often levelled at movies in general is, ‘Oh, the character has to be made sympathetic, so the character is manipulated in different ways or changed in different ways,’” he said in an interview with Professor Zhong Shu.
“And that’s a fundamental flaw of film criticism in a way, or storytelling criticism," he continued.
"Because to be able to identify the mechanism does not invalidate the mechanism. And that’s a real problem in criticism today.”
Nolan further drove his point home by stating, "I'm thinking more of amateur criticism, because they feel they’ve identified the mechanism; they feel that it invalidates it."
The Odyssey is in theatres.
