Google Pixel 11 set to launch on August 12: Check expected specs, prices
Google confirms August event as Pixel 11 leaked prices show hikes across the lineup
Samsung just had its moment in the spotlight, but Google's answer arrives in a matter of weeks, and early signs suggest it'll cost you more to switch over.
Google has scheduled its Made by Google event on August 12, 6 pm ET, in New York, where the Pixel 11 series is supposed to be announced.
Google Pixel 11 series prices
According to a leaked listing from Amazon which was taken down subsequently, the suggested prices are $899 for the basic Pixel 11, $1,099 for the Pro, $1,299 for the Pro XL and $1,899 for the Pro Fold, and all four are significantly higher than what their counterparts from the previous year costed, with the Fold costing a full $400 more.
However, other than the prices, the most notable new addition, as announced by Google itself, is the Pixel Glow feature, an RGB LED light bar located on the camera bar that illuminates when a notification comes in, even without checking the screen.
Google Pixel 11 specs
According to some leaked specifications, Google seems to prefer sticking to a formula than going for a radical overhaul. It has been reported that the basic version of the Pixel 11 will feature a 6.3-inch OLED display, the latest Tensor G6 processor, and a 4,985 mAh battery, whereas the other two versions will have bigger displays and batteries.
The one new specification in the lot is that the Pro models will now have 12 GB of RAM as well along with the existing 16 GB.
Google Pixel 11 Fold specs
Details on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold are thinner than the rest of the lineup, with only a 6.5-inch outer display and Tensor G6 chip confirmed so far through leaks.
Given how far Samsung has pushed its own foldables recently and the steep price increase reportedly attached to Google's version, the Fold has the most ground to make up to justify its cost.
