Natalie Portman shares rare look at baby bump in final weeks of pregnancy
Natalie Portman posts baby bump photo as due date nears
Natalie Portman has shared a sweet pregnancy update as she prepares to welcome her third child.
The actress posted a new photo on Instagram, saying she is "counting the days" until she meets her baby.
In the picture, Portman showed off her baby bump while wearing an open blue shirt. She gently held her stomach and looked down with a smile.
In the caption, she also thanked photographer Shelby Duncan for taking the picture.
Many of Portman's celebrity friends congratulated her in the comments, with Julianne Moore calling the photo "beautiful," while Jennifer Garner and Gwyneth Paltrow dropped heart emojis.
The Oscar-winning actress is expecting her first child with partner Tanguy Destable. She is already the mother of 15-year-old son Aleph and 9-year-old daughter Amalia, whom she shares with former husband Benjamin Millepied.
Portman announced her pregnancy in April during an interview with Harper's Bazaar.
Earlier this year, Portman also spoke about motherhood in an interview with Interview magazine.
“I’m blessed by my kids who turned me into a mom and make me smile and laugh every single day. “Who make me appreciate my mom even more for all the invisible things she did for me that I realise now as I try to live up to her mothering."
The actress has also said she prefers to keep her children out of the public eye to protect their privacy.
“I'm not a particularly private person in real life. I'll tell you anything, but in public, it was so clear early on that if you tell people how private you are, your privacy gets respected a lot more."
She continued, “I set up a little bit of a barrier to be like, 'I'm not going to do photo shoots with my kids.'"
