Usher jokes about viral onstage rejection at next show after fan's 'I wanted Chris Brown' remark

Usher has addressed an awkward moment with a fan that went viral after one of his recent concerts.

The singer was performing at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on Saturday when a fan named Gabrielle Cheyenne was invited from the VIP section to join him on stage.

As part of the performance, Usher danced and sang to Cheyenne. However, she appeared uncomfortable and stayed mostly still during the encounter.

Noticing her reaction, the singer looked at the crowd and joked, "I don't think she wants to be on the stage." The clip instantly went viral with many users voicing different opinions.

At his next concert in Birmingham, Alabama, Usher broke his silence on the viral moment before inviting another fan on stage.

“Now before we get started, don’t bring your a** up here if you don’t want to be here,” he said ahead of his sensual performance of Can U Handle It? on Tuesday. Chris Brown was also spotted laughing at the diss.

“God don’t like ugly, but he most certainly don’t feel too good about pretty privilege either.”

Usher later invited another fan on stage, who performed a more enthusiastic dance with him while he lay on a bed during another viral moment.

The star shocked fans by getting into several intimate positions with the fan during the performance.

After the viral fan rejection, Cheyenne shared her side of the story on social media, saying she did not know which performer she would be joining.

“Yes I [went] on stage and no they don’t tell you who, what, when, where. Baby, I wasn’t going up there for Usher, I wanted CHRIS and CHRIS only,” she shared. “Anywayss, anybody who wasn’t sitting VIP or has a face card that doesn’t qualify should hush.”

Cheyenne also responded to criticism directly, saying on Instagram that she is usually quiet but would not accept online bullying.

Cheyenne's aunt also defended her online, saying she simply chose not to take part in the performance and later spoke with Usher's wife backstage.
