Tom Cruise, ever the perfectionist and action hero is well known for being someone that takes control of every action, down to the very nitty gritty, but for the FIFA stage, his speech, which viewers described as ‘earnest’ landed with a thud, as celebrity news reporter Rob Shuter calls it.

An insider spoke about it on the Naughty But Nice Substack.

According to them, after social media erupted over this “TED Talk disguised as a World Cup opening”, the action star was taken aback.
