Sam Asghari makes rare comment about ex-wife Britney Spears

Sam Asghari still respects his ex-wife, Britney Spears, despite their tumultuous past.

The 32-year-old model, who ended his relationship with the pop star in August 2023, said that he "respects the past" and the time they spent together.

"I always like to stay respectful of the past. I love to celebrate the past and, you know, what happens in your life in every chapter," he told Extra.

“It’s nothing but love and nothing but experiences that you get to learn," added Sam.

Earlier this year, the actor was pleased to see that Britney had checked into a rehab center, a few weeks after she was detained on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).

Sharing his reaction to the Toxic hitmaker's decision to enter a treatment facility, Sam told TMZ, "I think it's great."

"I think anything that has anything to do with healing and great things … and as long as the person is in charge of that, it's all great," he added.

When asked if he had spoken to her, he replied, "Uh, no."

For those unversed, Sam and Britnery met in 2016 and exchanged vows in 2022. However, the relationship did not last long, and the couple separated in August 2023, just one year after their marriage.
