Rihanna delights fans with unexpected return to the stage with Jay-Z
Rihanna reunited with Jay-Z for surprise live performance
Rihanna made a surprise return onstage on Sunday during the final night of Jay-Z's Extra Innings concert series at Yankee Stadium.
The Diamond hitmaker emerged before thousands of fans to join Jay Z on stage and performed on her hit song B**** Better Have My Money.
She also serenaded the concertgoers with her 2009 collaboration with Jay Z on the song Run This Town.
This marked Rihanna's latest performance since stepping away from concerts and focusing on her family and beauty brand Fenty Beauty.
Over the past decades, Rihanna has made a few onstage performances. Her last full-time concert, Anti World Tour, was back in November 2016 in support of her eighth studio album.
Rihanna's Last Live Performance
Subsequently, the rapper made very rare high-profile live performances like the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show, during which she also announced her pregnancy and performed on her Oscar-nominated song "Lift Me Up" at the 2023 Academy Awards.
Rihanna and Jay Z's Friendship
Rihanna and Jay Z's friendship began in 2005 when Jay Z signed then-17-year-old Rihanna to Def Jam Recordings after he became the label’s president.
The duo has also collaborated on songs Talk That Talk and Umbrella.Riahnna
