Meghan Trainor shocks husband and children with new, shorter hair

Singer Meghan Trainor has traded her long, layered tresses for a "mom bob," marking a big change for the Grammy-winner in years.

Just days before revealing the new style, Trainor still had her longer hair while celebrating Sabara's 34th birthday. She shared photos and videos from the family celebration on social media, giving no hint that she was planning a dramatic new look.

Now, in a latest Instagram upload, the 32-year-old musician can be seen surprising her family with her new sleek hairstyle while maintaining the blonde hue.

In the clip, Trainor first shows her new look to her husband, actor Daryl Sabara. He immediately noticed the change and told her he loves it before giving her a hug.

However, not everyone spotted the difference straight away as Trainor then showed off her haircut to another family member, who failed to notice that she had cut her hair. Laughing, she pointed out that she had removed a large amount of hair and expected people to see the change.

The mom-of-three also asked her children for their thoughts on her new look. In the video, she also  asked her son Barry what looked different about her. After a moment, he realised it was her hair. 

She then asked if he liked it before getting her other son's opinion. Trainor later shared details of the makeover in the caption of her post, crediting Los Angeles celebrity hairstylist Anyssa Maciel for giving her the new look.

"I got a mom bob and only Daryl noticed," she joked.
