Andrew Tate case intensifies with new allegations in Romania
Romanian prosecutors add fresh charges in Andrew Tate investigation
Romanian prosecutors have added new allegations to the ongoing case involving Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate.
The case has been ongoing since December 2022, when the brothers were first detained in Romania during an investigation into alleged human trafficking.
They were later placed under house arrest, then released under less strict monitoring before restrictions were lifted in April 2026.
Authorities are already investigating multiple serious charges, including human trafficking, forming an organised crime group, and money laundering.
Now prosecutors have expanded the case further, adding new claims linked to human trafficking and financial crimes.
According to Romanian anti-organised crime prosecutors (DIICOT), a new part of the investigation involves allegations that a 39-year-old British suspect exploited a vulnerable woman in 2017.
They allege the victim was misled into a romantic relationship and then pressured into producing explicit online content.
Prosecutors also claim she was emotionally manipulated and made to work through a specialised platform.
The investigation also includes money laundering accusations involving activities between 2018 and 2022.
Authorities say companies linked to the suspects were used to hide money allegedly earned through exploitation.
They claim large sums of money were moved through bank transfers labelled as loans and later used to buy property, vehicles, and other assets.
Officials allege that these assets were recorded as company property but were actually used for personal benefit.
The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities say all individuals involved are considered innocent until proven guilty.
