He said, "I told her it's going to be hard."

"I also said, 'Take care of yourself. It's okay,'" Raul added. "This is harder than anything you've ever done and also more rewarding. It's okay to take breaks and get some rest and be really nice to yourself."

It is pertinent to mention that while it is Mariska Hargitay's first time stepping onto a stage, Raul Esparza made hi Broadway debut as Riff Raff in 2000 with a revival of The Rocky Horror Show.

Notably, Raul is set to return to Broadway in November 2026. He will star as scientist Galileo Galilei in the rock musical Galileo.

Speaking of Galileo, the actor told the outlet, "I think the show Galileo is thrilling. It's thrilling."

"The music is extraordinary. It's nothing but bangers and it has something to say about the way we live right now," he added.

Noting, "Even though it's set in the Renaissance and it's about a scientist, it's rock music and pop music all mixed together to tell the story of someone who found something true that changed the world and then was told by all the authorities that he was a liar."

"And unfortunately, that's really resonant with us right now and the way we're living and what's true and whether we can believe in science and whether the state has any right to tell us who we are and what to believe," Raul said.
