Chalamet was filmed celebrating the Nicks victory hugging his friends in the court and waving his first in the air.
The actor's celebration prompted the NBA's official X account to share his video.
"TIMOTHÉE CHALAMET TAKING IT ALL IN. He hit the OG game-winner reenactment!," read the caption of the X post which garnered over one million views within a few hours of being shared.
The Knicks, who trailed by 29 points in the third quarter, lead the best-of-seven series 3-1. They can clinch their first title since 1973 on Saturday night, when Game 5 will be played in San Antonio.
