As Taylor Swift was over the moon at Madison Square Garden for a match of the San Antonio Spurs and the New York Knicks, her close friend Selena Gomez was not.

Her dear team, the Spurs, performed poorly against the Knicks, which ended in a devastating defeat for them.

Hurt, Gomez took to Instagram to express her frustration, particularly with what she described as fake Knicks fans.

"So funny how some are all of a sudden fans though lol," she wrote.

However, within hours, Gomez deleted the story.

But it was too late; the internet already had screenshots, which began to circulate on social media.

In a second post, the In the Dark hitmaker shared a throwback photo of herself in a Spurs jersey.

"Happy for NY, but my heart breaks just a little lol. It's ok. I'm happy for the teams! Thanks for giving us some great games," she wrote.

In addition to Gomez sulking at home, her close friend Swift and a string of celebrities watched the Knicks defeat the Spurs in Game 4.

Gomez’s longtime pal Swift attended the game at Madison Square Garden alongside her friends Este Haim and Alana Haim.

Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner; Spike Lee; Larry David; Tracy Morgan; Adam and Jackie Sandler; Michael J. Fox and Tracy Polla; and others.

It is worth noting that Travis Kelce did not attend the game due to the Kansas City Chiefs minicamp in Kansas City.
