Chappell Roan shares what helps her unlock more confident self

Chappell Roan has opened up about what makes her feel most empowered.

The Grammy-winning pop star leads MAC's new Viva Glam Campaign. Being a global ambassador for MAC Cosmetics since 2025, Roan has launched a limited-edition Viva Glam collection featuring three lip products inspired by her bold personal style.

The collection includes the MACximal Silky Matte Viva Glam Lipstick in UnNatural Red Head, a vibrant red shade inspired by her hair, along with two plum-toned products: Roan Of Arc Lustreglass Sheer-Shine Lipstick and Damnsel Lipglass Air Non-Sticky Gloss.

It is pertinent to note that the campaign carries a strong philanthropic mission as MAC announced that 100% of the selling price from the collection with support Viva Glam charities focused on advancing gender, sexual, racial and environmental equality worldwide.

Now, Roan spoke about empowerment in her conversation with People Magazine. She said she feels most glamorous while walking a red carpet but most empowered after writing a song she knows is good.

She also added, "I also feel the most empowered whenever I see someone doing a good thing despite the world being so bleak right now. It empowers me to go and do a good thing."

Speaking about her makeup routine, Roan said she goes for "natural" vibe when not in front of cameras. "I keep it really simple in my day to day. I usually do just concealer, brow gel, Cool Spice MAC lip liner, and the MAC lipstick in the Creme in Your Coffee shade."

"I feel sexy when I have makeup on. I feel a certain confidence," Chappell Roan said.
