Benito Skinner talks about season 2 of 'Overcompensating'
'Overcompensating' creator Benito Skinner says season 2 goes further than ever before
Benito Skinner raised expectations for the second season of Overcompensating.
In an interview with People Magazine, the creator and star opened up about the upcoming season.
Skinner revealed that the production is already underway and that he is more confident than ever in the story he wants to tell.
He said, "I had so many fears and was so worried about how it would be received."
However, his fears were put to rest after the show's first season.
"I'm really proud of these scripts — I worked so hard on them," Skinner said.
Adding, "What we've done so far feels even more of exactly what I wanted to make. Everything feels really warmed up and everyone is just so funny and sharp."
About the second season, Skinner said, "We didn't make a whole new show, but we did elevate it in a lot of ways. I think there's a maturity to it. I'm really excited — and it's nasty."
When he started working on the second season, Skinner recalled, "I'm like, ‘Let's see how honest we can get here without us all feeling uncomfortable'."
"without me being like, ‘I can't do that because what if my aunt watches?'" he added.
It is pertinent to mention that Benito Skinner has not announced the release date of season 2 of Overcompensating.
