'Euphoria' star Alexa Demie breaks silence on retirement rumours
Alexa Damie confirms she'll be saying goodbye to her breakthrough role in 'Euphoria'
Alexa Demie has broken her silence on retirement rumours.
As the actress says goodbye to her Euphoria role, she has firmly dismissed the speculations that she is also retiring from acting.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Alexa revealed that she has no plans to step away from the industry.
She said, "there are goals, and things that I want."
Noting, "but, I'm choosing to keep that private."
Alexa made sure to keep her plans under wraps, saying, "I like my life like this, and I wouldn't change it."
It is pertinent to mention that this comes as Alexa concludes her Euphoria journey as Maddy Perez. However, speculations about her retirement began from her 2020 comments in an interview.
Reflecting on the struggles of landing her Euphoria role, the actress shared becoming frustrated with audition opportunities.
She recalled one experience from her 20s, when she noticed that the actors of Hispanic descent were excluded from lengthy list of approved ethnicities for a lead role.
She said, "I was reading it, and it really hit me, and I kept having that experiences."
"I was sick of going into those rooms," she added, noting that she considered walking away from acting those years.
Alexa Demie's breakthrough came eventually with Euphoria. Now, the show has reached the end of an era for Alexa's character.
