Trump hit by music exodus at Freedom 250 concert, then makes unexpected move
Trump's aide and Freedom 250 advisor announced the decision for the concert
After several singers quit, President Trump will headline an event, organized to celebrate America's 250th birthday.
It is set to be a 16-day Great American State Fair on the National Mall.
The musicians such as Martina McBride, Young MC, C+C Music Factory, Bret Michaels, The Commodores, and Morris Day and The Times, were set to feature on the show.
However, more than half of the artists exit the show, citing they did not know the organizers had links to Trump.
Slamming the musicians quitting the concert, Trump wrote on Truth Social, “I understand artists are getting ‘the yips' having to do with their performance on Wednesday."
"So I am thinking about bringing the number one attraction anywhere in the world."
Trump also dangled the possibility of doing a rally instead of live music after a series of setbacks.
"I'm ordering my representatives to look at the feasibility of doing a rally in place of live music."
However, what is confirmed is Trump will kick off the festival's opening.
Danielle Alavarez, who is an advisor for Freedom 250, said this in an interview with The Washington Post.
It is worth noting in the original lineup only Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli, and Flo Rida are remaining.
