Tom Holland drops major hint about 'Spider-Man' exit
Tom Holland is reflecting on the future of 'Spider-Man after him
Tom Holland has been playing friendly neighborhood Spider-Man for a long time. Now, he is thinking of passing on the torch.
In an interview with Empire, he said, “For whoever's next, whether that is a Miles Morales or a Spider-Gwen or a Spider-Woman or something like that, I would love to be a part of setting up the next chapter."
Not stopping here, Holland teased an exit from Spider-Man by comparing it to Robert Downey's Tony Stark departure.
"Whatever that looks like, I don't know. But if I could do what Downey did for me, then I would be so content swinging off into the sunset."
The actor first stepped into the Marvel universe in 2016, appearing as the Spidey-hero in Captain America: Civil War.
However, before any exit, Holland has a massive fourth Spidey installment on the way.
Its logline read, " Four years after the events of No Way Home, a forgotten Peter Parker lives completely alone as a full-time, anonymous Spider-Man keeping New York safe."
"But mounting pressure triggers a dangerous physical evolution, and a powerful new enemy emerges, forcing him to face the repercussions of his erased past."
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will land in cinema on July 31.
