'If I do attend, 'I get killed': President Trump on son's wedding
President Trump's remarks came hours after Vanessa Trump said she had cancer
US President Donald Trump appeared unsure whether he will attend his son Donald Trump Jr's wedding.
When a reporter asked, “Are you attending your son's wedding this weekend?" the president said , "He'd like me to go. But it’s going to be just a small, little private affair, and I’m going to try and make it. I said, ‘This is not good timing for me. I have a thing called Iran and other things."
Taking aim at the media, the president said, “If I do attend, I get killed. If I don’t attend, I get killed by the fake news, of course. “Hopefully, they’re going to have a great marriage.”
Donald Trump Jr. is all set to tie the knot with Bettina Anderson in the Bahamas over the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.
According to people.com, the president's official schedule shows that he will be at his summer home in Bedminster, N.J., this weekend.
The comments come hours after Donald Trump Jr.'s former wife Vanessa Trump said she was diagnosed with cancer.
