Yungblud's rep breaks silence after Machine Gun Kelly's savage comments
MGK took an intense dig at Yungblud over the 2025 cancelled tour
Following Machine Gun Kelly's savage dig on Yungblud's remarks on rising ticket prices of tours, the Doncaster-born artist's team has responded.
On Tuesday, Yungblud posted a video on his Instagram saying that "artists are cancelling [concerts] all the time" because ticket sales have become "completely unaffordable".
Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, did not seem to like the remark and clapped back at Yungblud in a now-deleted comment, accusing him of hypocrisy that he pulled back his tour because he "couldn't sell tickets" and "blamed it on mental health".
Taking the escalated situation in hand, Yungblud's team hit back at the singer, sharing a statement with TMZ.
Yungblud's rep said, "Dom has not commented directly as he is so busy focusing on his sold-out North American tour and finishing his next album. He genuinely hasn’t got time to engage in any of this but we wish MGK the very best.
"Dom's message was about the growing reality that live music is becoming financially impossible for a lot of young fans. It was never directed at any individual artist.”
They continued, "To weaponise somebody's mental health in a public space like this is incredibly disappointing."
"Dom has always been honest about his struggles and has worked hard to encourage open conversations around mental wellbeing."
Yunglud's team also set the record straight about MGK's claims about the canceled tour, telling the outlet, "There were multiple legitimate factors behind those decisions, both personal and logistical, and suggesting otherwise is simply false."
It is pertinent to mention that Yungblud cancelled dates on his 2025 North American tour last year and reveal at the time that his mental health was declining and he was experiencing exhaustion.
