Bob Saget honoured by John Stamos and family on milestone birthday

American actor and comedian Bob Saget is being remembered on what would have been his 70th birthday, more than four years after his death in 2022.

His close friend and former co-star John Stamos shared a tribute on Instagram, posting a video and a series of photos showing moments they shared over the years, including time spent with their wives and friends.

In the caption, Stamos wrote, “We used to throw each other great birthday parties. Your 70th today would’ve been epic! I miss you and love you.”

Candace Cameron Bure, who played Saget’s on-screen daughter in Full House, also left heart emojis in the comments.

Meanwhile, Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, marked the occasion with her own tribute on Instagram, sharing a video of Saget celebrating a past birthday and asked fans to join her in remembering him on what would have been his 70th birthday.

She also reflected on his personality and said he would likely still be working and performing if he were alive, recalling how much he loved creating and making people laugh.

Rizzo also said she believed one of his greatest joys would have been becoming a grandfather.

Saget died in January 2022 at the age of 65, shortly after performing a stand-up show in Florida. His death was ruled accidental, caused by a head injury from an unseen fall in his hotel room.
