Demi Moore sets the record straight on long-standing name confusion

Demi Moore is addressing the confusion about her name!

The actress was recently captured greeting fans and signing autographs in New York City, where she politely corrected a common mistake about how to pronounce her name.

In a video, Moore can be seen interacting warmly with a small crowd when one fan mispronounced her name as "DEM-ee."

Moore gently stepped in to clarify, saying, "Remember, it's  'Duh-mee'."

However, this isn't the first time the actress has addressed the confusion about her name. In 2017, she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she explained that while she shares her first name with Demi Lovato, the two pronounce it differently.

She said, "Our families say our names the same, but we each individually pronounce it differently."

"Like, ‘Deh-mee Lovato’ sounds really good. And ‘Duh-mee’ Moore sounds really good," the actress added.

Demi Moore, whose decade-long career began in her teens, has remained a prominent figure in Hollywood. Known for her roles in films like Ghost and A Few Good Men, the actress is last starred in 2024 film The Substance.

Moreover, she is set to star in the upcoming 2026 film I Love Booster and has also joined the cast of Strange Arrivals.
