David Beckham feels 'special' on his big day despite son Brooklyn snub
The former football player turned 51 on May 1
David Beckham is over the moon after his "beautiful" family treated him well on his 51st birthday.
The football legend took to his Instagram account on Saturday to pen a heartfelt note for his wife Victoria Beckham and their kids, who showered their love on him.
He wrote, "I feel very lucky & blessed to have had a very special day today being spoilt by my wife , kids , family and friends from the moment I opened my eyes till now."
”And I just want to say thank you and I love you all so much @victoriabeckham & my beautiful family thank you."
Along with the caption, David also posted two of his snaps, one of which shows his younger self blowing out candles on his birthday cake while sitting beside his mom.
In the second slide, David posted his picture from his recent birthday celebration in which he can be seen beaming smiles in front of a cake decorated with several lit candles.
David's family expressed their love for the former athlete by sharing heartwarming birthday tributes on social media.
Victoria took to her Instagram account and posted a video of Beckham adding new chickens to his farm, seemingly as a birthday present.
In a previous post, she penned, "You are our world, our everything. We love you so much!!! Happy birthday to the best husband, daddy, son, brother, and friend. To the kindest, most generous soul. We will spoil you all day!!!! Nobody deserves it more than you xxx."
As David's kids poured in their love for their father on social media, his eldest son, Brooklyn, skipped his celebrations once again.
Earlier this year, in January, Brooklyn announced his disassociation with his parents, David and Victoria, and his siblings, Cruz, 21, Romeo, 23, and Harper, 14.
