Nicole Polizzi explains how social media played critical role in coping with cancer diagnosis
Nicole Polizzi has opened up about emotional cancer journey
Nicole Polizzi has revealed how social media became a source of comfort following her cervical cancer diagnosis.
Speaking to E! News, the reality star shared that she initially feared the worst after being diagnosed at stage one.
“When I got the diagnosis, I was like, ‘Oh my God. I’m dying… I’m freaking out,’” she recalled.
Seeking reassurance, she turned to TikTok, where she found stories from other women going through similar experiences.
“There were so many videos… ‘I’m in remission,’ ‘I’m gonna be fine.’ That made me feel so cozy and like I’m going to be OK,” she said.
Inspired by the support she found, Polizzi decided to document her own journey online.
“I’m gonna go on TikTok and say what I’m going through… We had a platform of women saying, ‘I’m going through the same thing.’”
