Kanye West once turned Coachella into holy spectacle: Here's why fans went into frenzy
Kanye West once took the stage at Coachella and sent fans into a frenzy with his performance
As Coachella 2026 ended, several memorable performances happened. But if it goes exactly seven years back in time, it was the same desert music festival, but only that time it was turned into a holy spectacle by Kanye West.
Drawing on his creativity, Ye put up a 'Sunday Service' on the festival's weekend two. The church choir took place high atop what seemed to be a mountain.
The Grammy winner, in his nearly 45-minute performance, belted several of his hit tracks, including Jesus Walks, in what seemed like a spirituality-meets-showbiz moment.
On the hillside, West was alone in turning the choir into a mesmerising spectacle as he brought in Chance the Rapper, Kid Cudi, Ty Dolla $ign, and Mike Dean to power through the show.
Yet, the Chicago rapper – in spite of sending fans into meltdown – threw a few more surprises at them.
Particularly, the unveiling of his unreleased track, Everything We Need, as well as another song titled Water.
This Sunday service by West entered the list of most stunning performances in the history of Coachella.
Kanye West visits the Jewish Centre
In separate news, Ye was spotted leaving the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a Jewish human rights group, after a string of the rapper's shows were cancelled over his anti-Semitic remarks.
West, in the past, on multiple occasions, delivered apologies over his hateful rhetoric, yet some critics seemingly remain unconvinced of his sincerity.
