New development in Blake Lively lawsuit after judge dismisses major claims
A federal judge dismissed Blake Lively's sexual harassment claims in her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni on Thursday
After Blake Lively's lawsuit against Justin Baldoni was stripped down to the bones, a new development has been made.
The Gossip Girl alum and her It Ends with Us costar's legal team has been called to discuss openly about a settlement of their ongoing case after a judge tossed out 10 out of 13 claims.
The lawyers of both actors were told a day after the written ruling to call US Magistrate Judge Sarah Cave on Monday in separate sessions, via Daily Mail.
In the ruling, Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed most of Lively's claims against the actor and director, including harassment, defamation, and conspiracy, on Baldoni’s bid to end the case before it goes to trial.
But Lively is allowed to pursue a certain set of allegations, including retaliation-related claims and breach of contract, to move forward to trial.
This came after Blake Lively filed a lawsuit in December 2024 against Justin Baldoni acussing him of sexual harassment on the set of their movie It Ends With Us.
Baldoni and production company Wayfarer Studios later counter-sued her and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, accusing them of defamation and extortion.
However. court dismissed Baldoni’s case in June 2025.
The trial was set to begin on May 18.
