Blake Lively, Taylor Swift texts resurface after court ruling
Taylor Swift and Blakey Lively talked about Justin Baldoni in text messages made public a few months ago
Months after a US court decided to unseal the texts between Taylor Swift and Blake Lively, "It Ends With Us" actress has suffered a major legal blow in her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni.
A federal judge on Thursday dismissed actor Lively's sexual harassment claims in her lawsuit against Baldoni, significantly narrowing her case over the filming of their 2024 romantic drama "It Ends With Us."
In messages unsealed by the court in January 2026, Taylor Swift allegedly called Baldoni a "little bitch who was playing victim to the media.
The text messages between the former friends resurfaced after the judge dismissed 10 out of 13 claims filed by Blake Lively.
US District Judge Lewis Liman's 152-page decision followed more than a year of acrimonious litigation over the movie, in which Lively and Baldoni co-starred and which Baldoni directed.
The judge's decision means jurors will not decide if Lively was sexually harassed, though some of her accusations of mistreatment could surface as she pursues her retaliation claim.
Lively “looks forward to testifying,” and showing the efforts made to destroy her reputation "because she stood up for safety on the set,” Sigrid McCawley, one of her lawyers, said in a statement.
