Garth Brooks's comeback fear exposes deeper dependence after rape accusations
Garth Brooks faces brutal reality years after he was accused of sexual assault and rape
It is being reported that Garth Brooks is worried about his public image after rape accusations as he is preparing for his first tour.
For those unaware, in October 2024, Brooks’ former stylist and makeup artist accused him of sexual harassment, assault, and rape, and also filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court, but he denied the accusations, calling them an extortion attempt.
As the 56-year-old American singer and songwriter announced his forthcoming tour, an insider told Radar Online that “it has been years since he toured, so, of course, there's a lot of anxiety, and then on top of that he's afraid the audience could have been driven away by all the noise in his personal life, even though he keeps being told the support is still there.”
When it comes to his lawsuit, Brooks is “confident his case will be resolved in his favor eventually, but the fact it keeps dragging on makes it hard to fully relax.”
Other than facing the wrath of the audience, the Cowboy Bill crooner is also "nervous as hell" because his wife, Trisha Yearwood, will not join him during the tour.
"Leaving her behind is really tough for him because she's his anchor. Ideally, he'd love her to be on the road with him as much as possible. He's saying that may be the only way he can get through this because he's really struggling,” stated the source.
“The pressure is huge, and like 99 percent of all artists, he still gets his share of the jitters before going onstage. And the longer the break in between – and this has been a long one – the worse it usually gets,” concluded the insider.
It is pertinent to mention that his last tour was The Garth Brooks Stadium Tour, which ran from 2018 to 2022.
On his 2026 tour, Garth Brooks will headline BST Hyde Park in London on June 27, 2026, after a two-night stand at Milwaukee's Summerfest on June 16-17, 2026, at the American Family Insurance Amphitheatre.
