Boy George asks Chappell Roan to show 'kindness' after recent harassment from paps?
Boy George gives a piece of advice to Chappell Roan after recent confrontation with paps
Boy George has come forward with a little piece of advice for Chappell Roan after her recent confrontation with a group of photographers.
For those unaware, a video of Roan took the internet by storm this week that captured her asking photographers to “stop following me” and “harassing me.”
The video made rounds on the internet and people from all walks of life extended their support to her and the name of George comes on top of the list.
He wrote on social media, “It’s probably not helpful but I have been doing this fame thing for a while and you learn slowly and painfully that you don’t get a free pass once you turn yourself into a bird of paradise.”
The British musician went on to share that he “watched” the Guilty Pleasure songstress “filming the paps in Paris and I laughed because I have kicked off at them many times.”
According to George, “The trick is to own your fame. yes, it’s annoying at times but so is being ignored and told [you’re] a ‘has-been. Life is always now and I think Chappell looks great but cheer up girl.”
“The world is at your feet stop kicking it! It takes so much more time to say no to a picture or a signature. Boundaries are boring. Break them with the magic of kindness!” the hitmaker of Electric Energy advised.
It is important to note that this incident comes after Roan called for an apology from a photographer at Netflix‘s Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour concert in October 2024.
“You were so disrespectful to me at the Grammys. You yelled at me at the Grammy party. I remember, you were so rude to me. And I deserve an apology for that. You need to apologize to me,” she demanded at that time.
