Real reason behind Elle Fanning's OnlyFans account laid bare
The actress addressed the buzz around her account on online content subscription service based platform
Elle Fanning is not shy to bring her character to life.
The 27-year-old actress revealed in a recent chat that she created an OnlyFans account to prepare for her role in Apple TV’s upcoming series Margo’s Got Money Troubles.
Speaking at the series premiere during the SXSW Film & TV Festival on March 12, she detailed how she wanted to understand her role in real life as her character interacts with the platform.
“There were a lot of things,” Elle told People. “Obviously, I am an Instagram user and a TikTok user. I got to look at that."
She continued, "Also, we had to dive into OnlyFans a little bit. We did create an account for the writer’s room, and for me, so I could check out how the website is."
The series is based on Rufi Thorphe’s 2024 book under the same name, which chronicles the story of a college dropout who turned to the website to pay her debt.
Elle previously gushed over the titular character, “Margo is such a hopeful character,” she told Deadline in December.
“She’s dealt these hardships in life, but somehow she always is able to overcome them. I think she was really inspiring to play because of that, and the world is just very specific and very fun," Elle added at the time.
