Ellen DeGeneres shares Jim Carrey's video after his appearance sparks rumors

Ellen DeGeneres on Friday shared a throwback video of actor Jim Carrey's past appearance on her show.

"Jim Carrey is flippin’ hilarious," read  her caption for the video posted on her Instagram where she often shares old video of celebrities. 

Although Ellen did not add why she felt the need to re-share the video, it came amid an ongoing debate on Jim Carrey's recent appearance in Paris during an award show. 

Ellen, however, did not comment on the debate surrounding his latest appearance in France.

The actor's video sparked a debate on social media, with fans saying his look has undergone a dramatic change.

While some said he looked unrecognizable, social media conspiracy theorists went on to claim that it was not Jim Carrey as his body double had represented the actor at the award show.

Make up artist Alexis Stone later fueled the rumors  claiming in his Instagram post that he had impersonated actor Jim Carrey at the 2026 Cesar Film Awards in Paris.

Hollywood star Megan Fox was among thousands of people who reacted to Stone's Instagram post about Jim Carrey.

However, Carrey's representatives confirmed that the actor did indeed attend the awards. The film awards also denied the claims online.
