Sharon Osbourne says Ozzy Osbourne 'knew' he could die ahead of last Black Sabbath show
Sharon Osbourne shared how Ozzy Osbourne reacted after being warned that he could die soon as he prepared for Black Sabbath's last show
Sharon Osbourne is revealing Ozzy Osbourne’s reaction to being told that he could die if he went ahead with Black Sabbath's final performance.
In a new interview on the Dumb Blonde podcast, Sharon recalled the months leading up to the band’s last show.
"Two weeks before the show, they said he could probably die, and he did," Sharon, 73, told Bunnie Xo. "But he wanted to do it so bad."
The businesswoman and TV personality remarked, "he needed it. And [he was] like, ‘Whether I die in two weeks or I die in six months, I’m still dying. And I want to go my way.’"
"He went like a rock star," she added.
The rocker died only two weeks after the Back to the Beginning performance at England’s Villa Par in 2025.
She recalled that the singer developed sepsis earlier in 2025, and that’s when it became clear that he was nearing his last months.
"When he came out [of hospital], they said, ‘You know, Ozzy, this could kill you.’ And he said, ‘I’m doing my show.’ He went out like a king," said Sharon.
She added, "The thing is when you’ve lived your life that way, it was, like, ‘OK, six months more to go out the way I want to go out.'"
