Jensen Huang’s Beijing street food moment goes viral amid Trump-Xi 2026 summit

The world is only watching political diplomacy unfolding between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
But another diplomacy is playing out in Beijing against the backdrop of high-stakes geopolitical theatre. In a striking moment of cultural diplomacy, Nvidia CEO Jensen Hunag has gone viral on social media after being spotted enjoying Beijing street food amid Trump-Xi 2026 summit.
It seemed that Huang skipped parts of the US-China summit schedule where he joined President Trump’s delegation with other tech CEOs like Elon Musk and Tim Cook.
In widely circulating videos, Huang was seen enjoying Beijing's iconic fried sauce noodles at the Michelin Bib Gourmand spot Fangzhuanchang No. 69 while dressed in his signature black leather jacket amid 29-degree heat. He also complimented the shop owner and interacted warmly with other local vendors and posed for selfies with residents.
The CEO of Nvidia later tried fermented mung bean juice and sugar figure blowing in a food street troll.
The outing highlighted his approachable style while in China for talks on trade and AI chips, drawing cheers for his love of everyday street food.
His casual stroll in Beijing alley also wins the internet as the social media users are praising Huang for his lively and down-to-earth nature and ability to warmly interact with locals.
One user quipped, “He really knows how to eat; this shop's gonna come out with a Jensen Huang meal deal in the future.”
Another one wrote, “Jensen Huang (NVIDIA boss) is very relaxed eating noodles in Nanluoguxiang, Beijing. Wear your signature black leather jacket, even though the weather is hot. Super down-to-earth, immediately try the local food without complications. Many say ‘this is a real rich person’ — not showing off, humble, and enjoying life.”
