Scarlett Johansson recently got candid and opened up about how she felt about the reunion with Adam Driver after Marriage Story.

For those unaware, Johansson and Driver’s first project as co-stars was the 2019 romance drama film Marriage Story, in which they played the roles of Charlie Barber and Nicole Barber, respectively. They appeared as a young couple who went through “a bi-coastal divorce complicated by custody issues surrounding their son.”

On Friday, May 15, The Hollywood Reporter published an interview with the 41-year-old American actress in which she talked about working again with Driver after seven years in Paper Tiger.

Articulating her thoughts, she said, “I would’ve loved to have had even more scenework with him, I love working with him.”

“He’s so unexpectedly tender. I went away for a couple of weeks to do the press for Jurassic — I felt crazy to leave, but I had to go — and when I was gone, I’d get photographs of my makeup station from Miles and he’d be like, ‘Where’s Hester?’” Johansson explained, shedding light on their on-set relationship and referring to her character Hester Pearl in the recently released film.

It is pertinent to mention that Paper Tiger cast the Jurassic World Rebirth actress as Hester, the wife of Miles Teller’s Irwin Pearl. The couple lives happily with their two sons in late ‘80s New York, but things take a dark turn when Irwin’s brother, Gary Pearl (played by Driver), puts the family in danger due to his connection with the Russian mafia.

Paper Tiger premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday, May 16.
