Prince William reportedly feels frustrated after tightening security around their new home, the Forest Lodge, located in a private area of Windsor Great Park, England.

According to Closer Magazine, the Prince of Wales is finding it difficult to come to terms with how much security has taken over his family’s life.

William and Kate Middleton had to tighten restrictions around their new home after multiple break ins.

Last month, a man named Derek Egan managed to get into the grounds of Kensington Palace on two occasions just days before Christmas.

Earlier, in October 2024, two masked individuals forced their way through a gate and climbed a six-foot fence at Windsor Castle while William, Kate and their kids were asleep nearby at Adelaide Cottage.

There have been other incidents as well which led to William and Kate taking strict security measures, leaving the locals upset and frustrated.

A report by The Mirror previously claimed that “enraged” residents were saying areas they had used for years are off limits since William and Kate relocated.

Now, a source said, “They both despise the checkpoints, the constant planning, and the feeling of being trapped. It makes them angry and sad in equal measure.”

“Nothing is spontaneous anymore. Even family time comes with risk assessments. It’s exhausting – and it’s the part of royal life they hate the most,” they added.

“They didn’t want to do it - William hates shutting people out, and Kate hates the sense of isolation. But when it comes to the children, there’s no hesitation. Their safety comes first.”
