Teyana Taylor calls Leonardo Di Caprio 'family' after working together on new film

Teyana Taylor has opened up about her experience working alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the black comedy action thriller One Battle After Another.

Written, co-produced and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, the film stars DiCaprio as Bob, a washed-up revolutionary living off grid in a haze of paranoia with his daughter Willa, played by Chase Infiniti. 

Meanwhile, Taylor portrays Perfidia, Bob's partner and Willa’s mother.

While attending the 2026 Critics Choice Awards at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Taylor reflected on her on-screen chemistry with DiCaprio during a chat with Us Weekly.

"I mean, that's my brother, that's my family,  you know?" she said warmly.

She went on to explain that their close bond made working together effortless. 

"So, it's never hard working with family and people that you love," Taylor added.

The actress previously gushed about her friendship with DiCaprio in a September 2025 interview with The New York Times, revealing the pair met years before filming began.

"Funny thing: Me and Leo actually met at Diana Ross' birthday party some years back and instantly became best buds," she shared.

"That’s my wingman, my partner in crime!" Taylor concluded.
