Drew Barrymore shares update on daughter's major milestone
Drew Barrymore is the mother of two daughters
Drew Barrymore is celebrating a meaningful family milestone.
The actress and talk show host, who shares daughters Olive and Frankie with ex-husband Will Kopelman, recently revealed that one of her girls has reached a major coming-of-age moment.
During a conversation with Paul Rudd on The Drew Barrymore Show, the mom of two casually shared the happy news.
“By the way, my daughter, who is 13½, just had her bat mitzvah,” Barrymore said while chatting with the actor.
“Mazel tov,” Rudd responded warmly.
“Thank you so much,” Barrymore replied, before adding that she had no idea Rudd once worked as a bat mitzvah DJ, a revelation that clearly delighted her.
For those unversed, a bat mitzvah is a significant rite of passage in Jewish tradition, marking a young person’s transition into religious adulthood.
The ceremony symbolizes taking on new responsibilities within the faith and community, making it a deeply meaningful moment for families.
Barrymore has been open about her daughters antics at home, and, previously, while interviewing Christina Aguilera on her The Drew Barrymore Show, the 49-year-old actress-model revealed that her child used her Playboy shoot against her when she didn't allow her to wear a crop top.
