Rob Reiner, Michele Singer's kids Romy, Jake 'try to face' this 'nightmare'
Romy Riner and Jack Reiner are 'not alone' after the brutal killing of their parents, Rob and Michele
Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner’s kids, Romy and Jake, are trying to be “incredibly strong” after the cold-blooded murder of their parents.
A well-placed source told PEOPLE magazine that "it has of course been a huge shock to the system. This nightmare came out of nowhere for them, but they've been surrounded with support since the second they found out.”
The insider went on to state that the 78-year-old American filmmaker and actor and his wife are “beloved” in Hollywood and in the wake of unimaginable tragedy, their huge inner circle is extending support to Jake and Romy.
"Jake and Romy will never be alone as they try to face this," they noted.
For those unaware, Romy first found her father, Rob, without signs of life inside his Los Angeles residence on Sunday, December 14, 2025. Later, she also discovered her mother, Michele, dead.
After investigation, it was revealed that the high-profile senior Hollywood couple had multiple sharp force injuries; however, their son Nick, who was also living with them, was alive.
Nick was first interrogated but now is in custody and has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder of his parents. He briefly appeared in court on Wednesday, December 17 but did not respond with a plea.
It is pertinent to mention that Rob Reiner’s marriage to late actor-director Penny Marshall gave him a daughter Tracy, 61.
