Rob Reiner's family speaks out after son named as top suspect in director's murder

Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Reiner's family finally broke the silence on their sudden deaths.
“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner," the Princess Bride director's family said in a statement to Variety.
"We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time,” the message read.
For those unversed, Rob and his wife were found dead at their home in Los Angeles on Sunday. The All in the Family actor was 78, and his wife was 68.
Following their tragic deaths, People magazine reported that Rob and Michele's son, Nick, might have had a hand in their death.
Citing multiple sources, the outlet revealed that the director and his wife were "murdered by their own son, Nick."
For those unversed, Rob met Michele when he directed the romantic comedy film, When Harry Met Sally.
The couple exchanged vows in 1989 and shared three children - sons Jake and Nick, and daughter Romy.
Rob rose to fame after starring in the sitcom, All in the Family.
