Eminem made bizarre request to famous actress
The request Eminem made was during the SNL to Kate Winslet, who was hosting the show
It was the year 2004. Eminem was set to appear as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live, along with Kate Winslet, who was asked to host.
But ahead of the show, the request, intimate in nature, he made to the Titanic actress shocked her.
The Academy-winning star shares this during her appearance on The Graham Norton Show, claiming she had never told this story before.
She recalls feeling nervous because she was set to host the show after the lip-syncing scandal happened with Ashlee Simpson on SNL.
“I’m then on with Eminem. I was doing publicity for a film called Finding Neverland at the time, and Johnny Depp and I had to miss the Wednesday rehearsal because we had to go to Chicago and talk to Oprah,” the star recounts.
She continues, “And I’m thinking, ‘Oh my God, what’s the opening monologue going to be?’” Then the next day, she was asked whether she could sing or tap dance. "Yeah, yeah, I do it.'”
As Kate was practicing for the show, “I’m tap dancing and singing fully live the week after the whole Ashlee Simpson thing." What happened next is the 50-year-old claimed she did not reveal it before.
“This is a story I’ve never, never told,” she continues. “Eminem asked me to shave his bottom,” adding, “He did! He said, ‘Would you shave my butt?.
Responding to this bizarre request, she remembers, “And I said, ‘I’m sorry, I don’t, I don’t do personal grooming.’ What? I’m not going to go with a Bic and get your crack love.'”
In the meantime, Kate is promoting her directorial debut, Goodbye June, which will arrive in cinemas on Dec. 12.
