Prince William marks 20 years since taking over Diana's cause
Prince William on Tuesday visited the new offices of a charity in London
Prince William on Tuesday visited the new offices of Centrepoint UK, a charity he took over from his late mother, Princess Diana.
The Prince of Wales visited the new offices in London E1 to mark his 20th anniversary as patron of the charity.
Centrepoint is one of William's longest patronages, having taken over from Diana, Princess of Wales, who became patron in 1992.
Later, the Prince of Wales's Instagram account shared some pictures from his visit to the charity's officers with his message.
William said he was "Proud to mark 20 years as Patron of Centerpoint and it was "A pleasure to join staff and young people who have been supported by the charity over the years."
According to the charity's website, "Centrepoint is the UK's leading youth homelessness charity."
It says, "Alongside our partners, we support over 15,000 young people every year and campaign to end youth homelessness by 2037."
"Centrepoint is a safe space for young people to build an independent future. We provide the expert support and secure housing that young people need to reclaim their dreams and have a future beyond homelessness."
