Ariana Grande has received consecutive Golden Globe Awards nominations for her role in Wicked: For Good.
Grande has received her second consecutive nomination after receiving the first Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for her role as Glinda in Wicked.
Her costar Cynthia Erivo got nominated in the best actress category for her performance as Elphaba in the Wicked sequel.
Taking to Instagram stories, she shared the news and wrote, "thank you so much @goldenglobes for this tremendous honor and for recognizing this performance a second time."
The Side to Side hitmaker continued, "I'm so moved and grateful, there are truly no words. Thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Grande has become the first woman ever to be nominated for a Golden Globe for the same role back-to-back.
Her competition in the category are Emily Blunt (The Smashing Machine), Elle Fanning (Sentimental Value), Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas (Sentimental Value), Amy Madigan (Weapons) and Teyana Taylor (One Battle After Another).
The Positions hitmaker also spoke to The Hollywood Reporter immediately after her nomination was announced, noting that she finds the nod "definitely just as exciting [as last year's] and kind of blindsiding."
"You don't expect something like this, let alone [for it] to happen twice for the same role. So I'm just deeply honored. I'm just really moved by it," Ariana Grande gushed.
