'Stranger Things' Gaten Matarazzo reflects on his relationship with co-stars
'Stranger Things' Gaten Matarazzo shares which co-star he keeps in touch with
Gaten Matarazzo recently got candid and revealed which Stranger Things co-star he is constantly texting.
The 23-year-old American actor, who started his career on the Broadway stage as Benjamin in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and as Gavroche in Les Misérables, attended the premiere of Stranger Things season 5 in Los Angeles on November 6, 2025.
While conversing with PEOPLE magazine at the event, Matarazzo shared which co-star stays in touch even after they have wrapped up shooting.
He said, “I'm texting Finny (Finn Wolfhard) and Caleb (McLaughlin) a ton all the time. They update a lot. They like a good meme and a good laugh. A good voice memo, too. Those are always... We do a number of those on a frequent basis.”
Notably, the Anima Farm star, Wolfhard, and McLaughlin have been on the show since its debut in 2015.
For those unaware, Matarazzo and Wolfhard even lived together and during his appearance on Jesse Tyler Ferguson's Dinner’s on Me podcast, he talked about living together with the 22-year-old Canadian actor and musician.
“It was great. It was kind of like a college experience,” he stated at that time.
It is pertinent to mention that Stranger Things season 5 volume 1 was released on November 26, 2025, and the second volume will be dropped on December 25, followed by the finale on December 31, 2025.
